Today Hudson had his 2 month wellness check up. His head circumference is 15.675 inches and that places him in the 25-50th percentile for that. He weighs 12 pounds 8.5 ounces. He is in the 50-75th percentile in weight. He is 24.25 inches long and that puts him in the 90th percentile for height. I wonder where he gets that from! The doctor was so impressed with how well he lifted his head up when she put him on his tummy and she thought it was great that he knew how to lay his hands on his chest and pull his fingers into his mouth. He even gave her a slight smile! He is our little Baby Einstein. He also had his first round of shots today and I was very nervous about those. Luckily a new shot came out called "Pentacel" that combines 3 of the vaccinations needed so he had that shot in his right leg and that one made him cry because the liquid was so thick. He got a shot called Prevnar and that is the first of three of those. He barely batted an eye at that needle. He also got an oral dose of the Rotavirus vaccine. I debated on whether or not to give him his first Hepatitis B shot but I decided to wait until next month. The further I can spread these shots out and the less needles Hudson gets in his legs in one visit, the happier I am! After the doctor visit, he fell right asleep. We took him to Target, Babies R Us, Old Navy and Chipotle for dinner and he only woke up for me to feed him and change his diaper! Once we got him home he was a little fussy but it was mostly due to the fact that I was trying to massage his legs and they are so sore that it made him cry. But as soon as his head hit my shoulder he fell right back asleep and he's been asleep on Adam's chest for the last hour and a half. It was a busy day for the little guy but he did so good! I start back to work on Monday so we are going to meet his nanny tomorrow. I'm nervous about going back to work but confident in the woman who is watching him. He will be in good hands!
A baby...
A baby will make love stronger, days shorter, nights longer, bankroll smaller, home happier, clothes shabbier, the past forgotten, and the future worth living for.
